The Golden Boat Awards

Workers and visitors to Tate Galleries were shocked and amazed by a management request asking low paid staff to contribute towards a boat as a leaving present for outgoing director Sir Nicholas Serota.

In his honour, the PCS Culture Group will be launching the Golden Boat Awards at their union conference in Brighton next week. A pirate themed party has been organised for 6pm on Thursday 25th May at Tate Britain and everyone is welcome.

We would love to see all our comrades from across the arts, culture and entertainment unions across SERTUC to come and join us for a celebration to honour Sir Nick's services to privatisation, casualisation and low pay.

Please spread the word and tell others to come down and support low paid, zero hours privatised workers in their fight for trade union rights and recognition.

Bring noise, arty banners, tinnies and your dancing shoes!!
